Pinot Noir originated in Burgundy, France, one of the world's most renowned wine regions. The first Pinot Noir vines arrived in Chile in the late 19th century with the purpose of producing sparkling wines. Currently, there are nearly 3,000 hectares planted in Chile.
The main producers of this grape variety are France, Germany, USA (Oregon), Australia, Argentina, and Chile.
Its name comes from the French words "pine" and "noir" (black), referring to the characteristic pinecone-shaped grape clusters of this variety. It is believed that this variety is one of the oldest grapes in the world.
Pinot Noir should be served at a temperature of 14°C to fully release its qualities and characteristics. It is recommended to pair it with fresh salads with red fruit dressings, mild cheeses like brie, duck magret, tuna, or mushroom dishes.
Let's toast with our Secreto Pinot Noir, from Casablanca, from a vineyard located 20 kilometers straight from the sea.
Ruby red in color. On the nose, it is a complex wine, with prominent red fruits and forest berries, accompanied by floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, with elegant tannins combined with a refined acidity, leading to a long and vibrant finish.
