Viu Manent Gran Reserva and Secreto are suitable for Vegans.

As a consequence of our oenological philosophy, our wines have been vinified with processes free of components of animal origin.

For this reason, starting this new year of 2020, we decided to accredit our Gran Reserva and Secreto wines by the V-Label company, so that they have the international Vegan certification.
The wines have the same style and quality as always and from now on they can be a great option for this niche of consumers.

Veganism is gaining more and more followers in our country. It is a trend that is expanding with great force, so our wines become a real alternative for those consumers who, in addition to being vegan, demand high-quality products and wines.”

Specifically, what does it mean for our wines to be vegan?

Wines are considered "vegan" when at no stage of winemaking and production have any components of animal origin been used.

The certified wines were studied by the certifying company V-LABEL regarding their composition and ingredient additions, specifically oenological inputs.

The study was based on the analysis of analytical information of each oenological input, added to certificates from our suppliers, who had to (in turn) declare and certify that the input is free of components of animal origin.

In the clarification processes we do not use: egg albumin, ichthyocola (fish glue), casein (derived from milk)

What is the list of ingredients considered to meet this requirement?

We provide a list of all our oenological inputs that are direct components in wine making, such as: yeasts, enzymes, gases, acids, nutrients, minerals, vegetable proteins, filter earths.
