Description

The grapes that give rise to this Carmenere come from the El Olivar vineyard, located near the town of Peralillo, Colchagua Valley. The plantation has an average age of 17 years.

 

Pairing and specifications

Ideal for accompanying curried dishes such as chicken or lamb. Chilean cuisine dishes such as empanadas, pastel de choclo (corn pie). Some creamy cheeses and legume creams.

  • Serve at 16-18 degrees.
  • Aging potential: 5 years.

 

Tasting Notes

Dark purplish color. On the nose, it presents aromas of ripe cherries, black pepper, and blackberry, along with fine herbs, with soft notes of blonde tobacco. On the palate, it is broad, with great structure, balanced, with round tannins. Its finish is velvety and very pleasant.
